Eligibility for Allotment

Any citizen of India is eligible for allotment of a house plot/plot with building/flat (apartment). He/she should be a major.

The registrants can apply for allotment and should make sure that he will be in a position to accept and abide by the conditions of allotment before filing the application.

10% of house plots/plots with building/flats (apartment) in a scheme will be reserved for allotment among registrants belonging to the scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes. 5% to the defence personnel and ex-servicemen, 5% to the employees of the Housing Board, 2% to the working journalists, 1% to the physically handicapped persons in the order of registration among such categories, 10% will be reserved for allotment by the Chairman of the Kerala State Housing Board, at his discretion from among those who have registered their names under registration scheme and applied for specific allotment and the remaining 67% will be allotted to the registrants from the general public in the order of their priority. If there is not enough applicants from among the Sheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes personnel, defence and ex-service personnel, employees of the Housing Board and the physically handicapped persons to cover the percentages fixed for them, then the allottments will be made to other applicants in the general quota on priority basis.

Plots/ Plot with Building/Flats (Apartments). Every application should be accompanied by a demand draft for Rs. 105 (Rupees one hundred and five only) towards application fee drawn in favour of the Kerala State Housing Board, payable at the office of the officer to whom the application for registration is to be forwarded (Click here to find your concerned office and officer).

Application for registration not accompanied by the required application fee will not be considered. The application fee of Rs.105/- will not be refunded to the applicant on any account. The remittance of application fees by the applicants does not give any right to the applicant to be provided with houses, house plots or flats.

Priority for allotment
Priority for allotment will be based on the priority numbers given to the registrants by the Kerala State Housing Board.

Allotment Notice for Registrants will be intimated only through dailies
The procedure of intimating the registrants under Advance Registration Scheme and New Registration Scheme of Kerala State Housing Board through individual communication by certificate of posting has been amended as per Gazette Notification 620 and 621 dated 09-05-2002. Therefore, in future the date of allotment meetings convened by the Board will be announced only through two leading local dailies and one English daily in circulation in the locality where the scheme is located. The Kerala State Housing Board publishes this notification to bring the amendments effected as per Kerala Gazattee notification dated 30th March 2002 to the information of General public and registrants for the Board's Scheme in various registration centers. Acquiring more than one house/plot/flat exemption for
As per Kerala Extra Ordinary Gazette No. 363,366,367 notified on 30th March 2002, the allotment conditions under Advance Registration regulation 1980. New Registration Regulation 1986, Overseas Indian Regulation 1985 have been amended to the extend that an applicant can get allotments under these Regulations even if the applicant/spouse' or their minor children possesses house/house site in their names in the area under the local authority in which the housing scheme is located. They are exempted from furnishing of a certificate to this effect, which was stipulated earlier for allotment. This amendment facilitates the applicants to obtain a fresh allotment from the Board even if he/she has already obtained allotment/Housing loan/ or possess house/house site.
